Milena Malesevic has been helping starving, abused stray dogs in Sarajevo for over twenty-five years. Saving Suffering Strays was set up in 2012 to support her work and raise awareness of the plight of strays across Europe and the UK. "We currently have over fifty dogs in our care." The Sanctuary Angels sent £200 to Saving Suffering Strays towards their Happy Bus appeal to bring twenty lucky doggies to live their best lives in the UK. This was part of our Summer Appeal for Animals 2021, during which £2,000 were sent out to grass-roots rescues around the world.
