Safe Haven for Donkeys, West Sussex / Israel

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

Set up in 2000, SAFE HAVEN FOR DONKEYS (UK charity number 1083468) cares for abandoned and working donkeys in Israel and the West Bank. Today, at the charity's four-acre rescue centre near the Israeli town of Netanya, they are caring for more than 250 unwanted and abused donkeys and mules.

Safe Haven's work does not stop at the centre's gates - every month, they reach out to hundreds of working donkeys, mules and horses through a series of ground-breaking free veterinary clinics and education sessions, which are currently being held in more than twenty locations on both sides of the Palestinian border.

THE SANCTUARY ANGELS sent £300 to Safe Haven for Donkeys as part of their Winter Appeal 2020: "Hi Amanda, that is wonderful news. Well done, you are our donkey angels!! HUGE thanks to all involved from all of us at Safe Haven for Donkeys. This amount truly will make a positive difference to so many donkeys. Kind regards. Keep safe x"
