Oscar, rescued by Cat English of English Barn Cats

The Sanctuary Angels sent a £500 emergency Angel Grant to English Barn Cats, run by Cat English. We will let Cat tell you in her own words what this grant means to them, and to Oscar:

"A Massive Thank You to Amanda George  & The Sanctuary Angels 

We are deeply touched and incredibly grateful to Amanda George from The Sanctuary Angels for sending English Barn Cats a generous £500 grant to help our precious boy, Oscar.

Oscar was rescued from under a sink, and what we discovered broke our hearts. This poor soul has been through unthinkable suffering. The vets believe he may have been tied up and subjected to horrific abuse — it’s devastating beyond words. Despite it all, he is still so gentle and trusting.

Oscar is currently on antibiotics for his wounds, has been neutered, and has received full deworming treatment. He’s also been experiencing diarrhoea, so we’ve been giving him special food to help settle his tummy. Once he gains more strength, he’ll need surgery to remove one of his eyes — another step in his long journey to healing.

This boy has been through so much, and he still has a long road ahead. Your kindness, Amanda, is helping to ease his pain and give him a chance at the life he deserves. We cannot thank you enough for stepping in with support when it was needed most.
