What is Shelter Ugolyok?

Shelter Ugolyok is a Ukrainian non-profit animal rescue organisation and farm sanctuary. They save animals (like the ones pictured) from slaughter and give them the life they deserve, for however long that might be. Rescue, rehabilitation, lifetime maintenance, adoption – they provide what is needed in the toughest of situations.

How will a £500 Angel Grant help Shelter Ugolyok?

Shelter Ugolyok have recently rescued an elderly cow and a pregnant cow (who now has a beautiful calf) (both pictured) from slaughter.

An elderly lady arrived early in the morning. Tired, worn, with eyes that have seen too much and expected too little.

Today she stepped onto soft ground, into safety, into a place where she will never be “just livestock” again… but someone who matters. We don’t know how many mornings she has left. But we promise — every single one will be gentle.

This moment, this rescue, this new beginning… it only exists because of you. Because you care. Because you didn’t scroll past. Because you chose kindness in a world that often forgets it. Thank you for giving her this morning. Thank you for giving her peace.
