What is the Moe Dogge Animal Rescue Shelter?

The Moe Dogge shelter came into existence in 2019 to ease the abuse and neglect of hundreds dogs and cats in Beirut. A small shelter was started in an abandoned building in the city, but following numerous complaints from local people reporting the dogs to the police, the shelter was moved to the mountains. From an initial 10 dogs being supported in a basic shelter, with absolutely no social media or supporter input, the shelter now has 180 dogs and many cats.

"At Moe Dogge, we are driven by a heartfelt mission to rescue dogs from the streets and provide them with the loving care they so desperately need. We believe every dog deserves a second chance, which is why we focus on feeding, treating, and rehabilitating each furry friend that comes through our doors. Our devoted team works tirelessly to ensure that every animal receives the medical attention and emotional support necessary to thrive. We take pride in preparing our rescues for their forever homes, fostering a nurturing environment where they can heal and regain their trust in people. We promote and advocate for animal welfare in our city and villages."
