Amberwood Animals, Oxfordshire

Thanks to our amazing regular donors, this October we sent a £500 Angel Grant to Amberwood Animals, Oxfordshire, run by vegan Mark Wakeling.

Amberwood cares for farmed animals at risk of slaughter or abuse. They also provide controlled meetings between their animals and humans to promote health and wellbeing, and to raise public awareness about farmed animals and promote their rights. rs.A

When we asked Mark how the grant would be used, he said this:

What a wonderful message to receive right now! Thank you so much. I’m currently trying to get everything together to build an improved house for our two oldest pigs, Bella and Mable, who are also blind…so any extra money that can be found right now will be used to buy the matériels we need for that…hoping to get it started over the next 10 or so days.

So often sanctuaries don't have the funds available for vital infrastructure projects like this, so we were delighted to help.
