OUR VISION IS A WORLD FREE FROM ANIMAL SUFFERING
The Sanctuary Angels raise awareness and vital funds for animals and their rescuers around the world. As part of our Sanctuary Programme, we sponsor animal rescue projects and emergency situations through £500 Angel Grants, which are funded entirely by our donors and supporters. While we work hard to help as many animals as possible by providing financial aid to grassroots rescues, we also believe in tackling the root of the problem: animal exploitation. So we actively promote the humane treatment of sentient beings through veganism, animal adoption and cruelty-free living. Our vision is a world free from animal suffering; and when we work together with good intentions, a kinder world for all is possible.
WHO ARE THE SANCTUARY ANGELS?
The Sanctuary Angels are all volunteers, united by a vision of a world where no animal suffers. Our mission is to make the world a better place for all sentient beings, human and non-human.
An energetic and determined community of animal lovers, we work towards this mission in two ways. First, our Angel Grants help grassroots animal rescues around the world. And, second, because the need for rescue rarely exists without exploitation, we promote cruelty-free living, and we campaign against cruelty in all its forms.
WE BELIEVE IN A CRUELTY-FREE WORLD
Animal rescue is almost always the result of animal exploitation, which is driven by capitalism, greed, and speciesism. The Sanctuary Angels believe in the importance of education and explaining how people can make better choices (better for themselves, better for animals, better for the planet). Our mission is to heal some of the wrongs done to animals by promoting positive change through education while raising vital funds for animals and their rescuers through our Sanctuary Programme.
