Blyth Wildlife Rescue receives £500 Angel Grant

Blyth Wildlife Rescue is a dedicated wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charity based in Northumberland, est. 2006 (Registered charity no. 114689). You can read more about their incredible work for wildlife here (Facebook page): Blyth Wildlife Rescue.

They were nominated for an Angel Grant by one of The Sanctuary Angels' supporters last year, and in June 2026 we were finally able to award them a £500 Angel Grant, thanks to our monthly donors and supporters.

And this is what they told us about how the grant will help them, at their busiest time of year:

On behalf of Blyth Wildlife Rescue, thank you so much to The Sanctuary Angels for your generous grant of £500. Your support comes at one of our busiest and most challenging times of the year. Every spring brings an influx of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals requiring urgent care, rehabilitation and, where possible, release back into the wild.

This funding will make a real difference, helping us to meet essential veterinary costs and purchase specialist milk formulas and feed for the many orphaned babies currently in our care. As admissions continue to rise, support such as yours enables us to provide the high standard of care that these vulnerable animals need.
